This wonderful recipe/photo was found on a blogspot.com site called CAKE OR DEATH. Look at the way the butter just melts into these. Delicious. They found it on CHOCOLATE AND ZUCCINI. Scones are kind of a treat around our house too CAKE OR DEATH. This is what they say. "The dried pears added a nice chewiness and sweetness to the scones, that was offset by the sharp gouda and the walnut pieces from the cheese.
